KKCCCI at 9.00 am on Sunday, 28th November, 2010 held a ceremony of granting awards to outstanding children of the members for doing well in their school examinations. The outstanding students from schools under the jurisdiction of KKCCI were also invited to receive the awards for having performed well in the examinations.
2010 Awards for Members’ Children
187 students were on the list of Scholastic Awards including 81 members’ children, comprising: 7 from kindergartens, 28 from primary schools, 21 from secondary schools, 9 from teachers’ colleges, and 16 from universities / technical colleges. Among the 106 from the schools under KKCCCI, were 33 and 29 children from Chung Hwa Kg Air, and Chung Hwa Likas for achieving UPSR with 7 As, while KK High School with 31 students with PMR Distinctions, and 20 SPM with Distinctions as well as 5 STPM with Distinctions.
2010 Annual General Meeting
After the award ceremony to the outstanding students, the AGM was held in the Conference Room on the 7th floor. The Management and Supervisory Committee tabled the following proposals for adoption:
- To construct a block of 12 storey building for hotel and training centre
- To organize a teachers’ training centre for the kindergarten teachers
- To expedite the construction of Chi Hwa School at Kolombong
- To organize a modern nursery centre at Chung Hwa Kindergarten Likas
- To expand Hwa Shiong Kindergarten
- To construct a columbarium at Kwong Fook Cemetery, Mile 2 ½ Jalan Tuaran
- To develop a modern funeral parlor
- To construct a modern crematorium with the financial assistance from the State Government
- To celebrate 100th Anniversary of KKCCCI and publication of Historical Souvenir Magazine
