Malaysian companies or associations which are exporting or wish to venture into the export markets are encouraged to register with MATRADE.

The companies and organizations that are currently registered with Matrade include: Manufacturers, Traders, Services Provider, Trade Associations, Chambers of Commerce.

Registration with MATRADE is FREE and enjoys the following benefits:

  1. Participate in Matrade pre-arranged business matching with international buyers during Matrade trade promotional events or upon request
  2. Develop and enhance your export capabilities through Matrade export assistance programmes and export training programmes

Go Global with MyExport (MyExport)

MyExport is an online service for Malaysian exporters registered with MATRADE.  Login to MyExport to gain access to key trade information, market intelligence, export opportunities, international trade expo, international tender and others information compiled by MATRADE’S worldwide offices.

Market Development Grant (MDG)

The Market Development Grant (MDG) is a support initiative in the form of a reimbursable grant. MDG was introduced in 2002 with the objective of assisting exporters in their efforts to promote Malaysian made products or services globally.  It is specifically formulated for Malaysian SME Companies, Professional Service Providers, Trade and Industry Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Professional Bodies and Co-operatives.

eTRADE Programme 2.0

eTRADE Programme 2.0 is an enhancement of eTRADE Programme which was developed under the RMK-11. The purpose is to accelerate export activities via sustained participation in cross-border eCommerce platforms.

A qualified applicant may receive the following financial incentives:

(A) Onboarding Scheme: RM5,000*

For onboarding any cross border eCommerce platform or multiple platforms

(B) Digital Marketing & Training (DMT) Scheme: RM20,000*

For undertaking any digital marketing activities and / or attending eCommerce training programmes.

*per company, for one (1) year subscription / one (1) year activities

Export Readiness Assessment Tool (ERAT)

Malaysian companies that interested in exporting or explore overseas markets, can use ERAT to assess whether they are fully prepared to start entering the export sector.  ERAT also assist companies in better understanding export resources, marketing methods, management commitment and product/service potential.

Services Export Fund (SEF)

Services Export Fund is a trade support facility in the form of reimbursable grants to partly defray the cost of Malaysian entities in SERVICES industries, to undertake export-related activities in international markets.

First introduced in 2015, SEF is continued under the 11th & 12th Malaysia Plan (2021-2025) with the following objectives:

  • To increase the competitiveness of MSPs overseas;
  • To increase accessibility and expand export of MSPs in the global market;
  • To expand the scope for export promotion by gaining market access and export opportunities for services; and
  • To raise Malaysia’s profile at the international level as a competent service provider as well as to brand the country as a supplier of services.

NEW Exporters Training Programme Portal

The NEW Exporters Training Programme Portal system is a web-based application system where company information or participating training participants are stored in a database in the provider’s cloud storage at MATRADE. The system has also been improved with new modules that are more flexible, more comprehensive reporting functions and technology that is in line with today’s ICT needs, as well as managing and storing information on training, seminars, webinars or workshops identified by MATRADE.

    • The portal allows participants to check the upcoming training that has been registered by MATRADE. Apart from that, they also will be able to see all the history of the MATRADE training that they have registered in the past.
    • Companies will have the ability to check the upcoming training that they have registered and resend the confirmation email to the staff that they have registered.
    • Companies also will be able to check all the MATRADE training that they have registered in the past.
    • For individuals and government agencies, you will no longer need to re-enter your basic details such as Name, Company Name, Mobile Number and Address in the registration form every time you register for MATRADE training. All the details will be auto-populated in this form, and it will speed up the registration process.
