Our chamber in conjunction with the Sabah Swiftlet House and Bird Nest Industy Association organized a dialogue session with the industry players including the key government officials from Ministry of Local Government and Housing, Wildlife Department, Veterinary Department, as well as Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry on 31st July, 2010. Many views were expressed on problems and solutions and also the proper government guidelines to be formalized. The dialogue session was coordinated by Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah.
Those present at the dialogue session included relevant officials from the government departments such as Datuk Haji Ujang Sulani, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, Johnny Samson, Architect of Ministry of of Local Government and Housing, Dr. Laurentius Ambu, Director of Wildlife Department, Dr. Yeo Boon Kiat, Director of Department of Veterinary Services and Animal Industry.
